Two capacitors are in parallel. And they have initial voltages on it. Whats the Voltage shown by the two probes?
Solution : C1=1 farad. C2=0.5 farad. . V(0-){2 farad)=5 volts. V(0-)= 10 volts for 1 farad capacitor.
Since they are in parallel.And after switch is closed. Both capacitor attain common voltage
V=Total charge/total capacitance
V=Q1C1+Q2C2/C1+c2
here V(common voltage)=(5*2 + 10*1) / (2+1)
V=6.66v. both red and green probe shows 6.66v
